Our Vision
Any description of our vision of church ministry must begin with the cross of Jesus Christ. The Great Love of Jesus can never be portrayed in any better way than in His willingness to die on the cross for our sins. God’s love for all men is shown throughout the written accounts in the Holy Bible.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son and whoever believes in Him shall never perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Jesus founded His Church because of His great love for us.
“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
Also, Jesus commanded His church to continue His ministry here on earth until He comes again.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:19-20
The challenge of church ministry is to find the best methods and techniques to fulfill the commandment to make disciples of the whole world. Since Grandview Baptist Church is a member of the Tennessee Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention, we help support through the Co-Operative Program approximately 11,000 full-time missionaries all over the world. We will continue to preach the Word of God, teach God’s Holy Scriptures, minister to the needs of our community, and to serve God in all ways that He instructs us.
